Thanks for stopping by! Chase left the physical world on 11/30/2021 after a long struggle with mental illness. He was 14. With the help of our community, we built this bench to be a place to connect, whether they knew Chase or not. It is a place to connect with your self, nature, friends, family, and the universe. Please enjoy, and also respect this beautiful preserve.

This was my first time visiting this trail. Such a beautiful view and nice spot to honor his memory. I never knew chase but I pray him and his loved ones find peace. This story hurts my heart but I think Chase would have very happy to know that he will never be forgotten and will always be loved.

I’ve been riding out at PQ for 20+ years and the other day this bench caught my eye and I felt compelled to pedal over to it. It was hot, I was felling a bit run down from the day, but I pushed up the hill and felt an aura about this spot that made my day better.

I don’t know this kid, but I’m saddened by this story and hope this bench can bring peace to the family and others in the future.

    Love and respect!

Thank you for this beautiful and peaceful place. My son and I visited Chase’s Bench today, not for the first time. It is a lovely memorial.
