    Chase’s Family

Thanks for stopping by! Chase left the physical world on 11/30/2021 after a long struggle with mental illness. He was 14. With the help of our community, we built this bench to be a place to connect, whether they knew Chase or not. It is a place to connect with your self, nature, friends, family, and the universe. Please enjoy, and also respect this beautiful preserve.

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” ~ John Muir
One of my fondest memories of Chase was a backpacking trip we took with him to a remote backcountry spot in Yosemite during the height of the pandemic. The park was empty of humans and we savored the gifts the majestic park offered.

Chase’s bench is in the most beautiful spot. I was able to spend some time there today, what a special place to spread love. Thank you for sharing this space and allowing others to reflect and remember.
