Thanks for stopping by! Chase left the physical world on 11/30/2021 after a long struggle with mental illness. He was 14. With the help of our community, we built this bench to be a place to connect, whether they knew Chase or not. It is a place to connect with your self, nature, friends, family, and the universe. Please enjoy, and also respect this beautiful preserve.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>One of the few moments I’m glad the modern internet exists. The bench felt like a safe space. Thank you for creating a memorial like this one.</p>

Went on a hike this morning in the canyon and came across the bench towards the end. Took a rest and reflected on my own struggle with mental health. Hoping this bench helps others reflect and for people to be more aware of the invisible struggles many go through.

Thank you for enhancing this beautiful place and helping us to enjoy it. As two former scout leaders and a scout, we appreciate all that went into this in honor of Chase. He is remembered.

Sending love to Chase’s family. I didn’t have the honor of knowing him, but sitting here today, I can feel how much he is loved. Thank you for sharing this space with us.
