Thanks for stopping by! Chase left the physical world on 11/30/2021 after a long struggle with mental illness. He was 14. With the help of our community, we built this bench to be a place to connect, whether they knew Chase or not. It is a place to connect with your self, nature, friends, family, and the universe. Please enjoy, and also respect this beautiful preserve.

A friend and I had the pleasure to meet Chase’s dad and his friends while we were there. They were maintaining the bench and we were kindly invited to help them. It was an honor to help and share the meaning of this bench. I will definitely remember this moment every time I pass by there. With love, Marco and Andrew

An unexpected reward for climbing that big hill. Very quiet up here and a great place to reflect. May Chase rest peacefully.

Moving to see how much Chase was loved by his troop and those around him. Praying that his bench serves as a reminder for every passerby to not take their loved ones for granted and reach out to their friends out of love.

What a perfect moment to pause. Life moves in so many directions all at once. May this Bench and Chase help foster many more moments of reflection and self-love.

I started hiking more after losing my older brother to suicide, hikes have been a way to allow myself to grow. This spot captured the beauty of a moment and how important every single moment is.

    love.

recently moved to the city and have had some trouble finding my footing in a new place. Felt the urge to get up and move and return to my beloved hobby of hiking. What a pleasant and comforting feeling I had sitting on Chase’s bench, left me with lots of reassurance to keep on keeping on. Rest in peace, Chase 🤍

Seeing a QR Code like this on a hike is one of the few moments I’m glad the internet exists. The bench felt like a safe space.

One of the few moments I’m glad the modern internet exists. The bench felt like a safe space. Thank you for creating a memorial like this one.
