Thanks for stopping by! Chase left the physical world on 11/30/2021 after a long struggle with mental illness. He was 14. With the help of our community, we built this bench to be a place to connect, whether they knew Chase or not. It is a place to connect with your self, nature, friends, family, and the universe. Please enjoy, and also respect this beautiful preserve.

I’ve been enjoying life and the passage of time a little more with some big recent changes in my life. Sitting here and meditating and enjoying the morning sun rise has been some peace I needed.
    Thank you Chase.

I visted Chase’s Bench on November 20th, 2023 and I felt at peace with myself while alone on that hilltop. The sun was shining and the breeze calmed my nerves; it was a serene feeling after a long day. Thank you for sharing Chase’s story and building this bench for people to visit.

My family and I visited this area during thanksgiving week. This bench just about saved my mom after a long uphill walk- thank you to the Friedman family and friends for constructing this bench and contributing to mental health awareness.

This was my first time visiting this trail. Such a beautiful view and nice spot to honor his memory. I never knew chase but I pray him and his loved ones find peace. This story hurts my heart but I think Chase would have very happy to know that he will never be forgotten and will always be loved.
