Thanks for stopping by! Chase left the physical world on 11/30/2021 after a long struggle with mental illness. He was 14. With the help of our community, we built this bench to be a place to connect, whether they knew Chase or not. It is a place to connect with your self, nature, friends, family, and the universe. Please enjoy, and also respect this beautiful preserve.

<p style=”text-align: center;”>20 yrs ago I ran this trail nearly every day.  Today I have a 14 yr old and live across the country.  This has been a special canyon for me and now even more so.  Thanks to the community for putting this here for us to connect and contemplate.  Saying a prayer today for everyone affected by mental illness, including my own family.</p>

Chase’s bench and area are beautiful. I sat with my husband and daughter on Mother’s Day. Thank you. Today must be hard for a lot of mommas ♥️.

A warm breeze with clear skies, the birds sang their songs above Chase’s bench.

Thank you Chase, for everything you were in your life, and for everything you taught me after. I miss you every day and will never forget the day I heard you were gone.

It’s a beautiful day today, you can see Black Mountain in the distance and people walking the trail below to the waterfall! Wish u could see it! Rest easy, Chase.

I come here knowing that this is a place where there has been deep love and deep pain. I come usually to pray about all the hard things, and feel comfort in knowing that others have come here before me and experienced love, grief, joy, and peace. Thank you for building this lovely place of solace.
